Although the benefits are clear, many organisations struggle to implement a successful data governance strategy as they grapple with people, process and technology barriers. In our latest study, we revealed that the majority of businesses surveyed are missing out on critical value-add opportunities readily available through their data governance efforts – with 71% of respondents ranking greater efficiencies, better data quality, better decision making and improved business performance as less important outputs than compliance.

In this first session of our webinar series, we want to address this challenge by bringing together a group of experts within this field to discuss what operationalising data governance means, the value it can deliver, how data leaders can secure executive support, and most importantly, where to begin to make this a reality in your organisation.

Join us as we discuss why and how organisations can operationalise data governance and gain executive support by aligning objectives to business goals.

About the Operationalising Data Governance Series

Organisations all over the world are finding their data governance efforts are more complex and frustrating than they expected. Without an effective approach, delivering on compliance and business objectives can become a difficult task as Gartner uncovered within their recent report – “The State of Data and Analytics Governance is Worse Than You Think” – which found that a quarter of those surveyed achieved nothing they set out to accomplish with data.

Together with our partners at BigID and Manta, we aim to demystify and practically discuss the ‘what, why, who and how’ to successfully operationalise data governance within organisations in today’s business context.
